Poverty Reduction Plan

When Toronto Conference held its annual meeting in May of this year, a motion was passed calling on "United Church members, adherents and Pastoral Charges... to call on their local MPPs to develop a poverty reduction plan in each riding and provincially..." Our Generation – Youth Song:

A talented group of young people wrote a song 'Our Generation' at the 2011 annual meeting of Toronto Conference. In October, the singers and musicians were thrilled to have the song professionally recorded. See the results...

To fulfill that mission, the Conference Executive will:

  1. Make the best use of the human and financial resources available.
  2. Ensure oversight and compliance within the polity of The United Church of Canada
  3. Provide resources in the Presbyteries to promote the work in the following areas - program, property, personnel and public witness, with further support from the staff in the central Conference office.
