RSS is the acronym for Really Simple Syndication. RSS feeds provide updated website content. For a full definition, please read the following on Wikipedia:

If you click an RSS link but do not have a compatible reader installed, you will see XML code in your browser. To view the headlines, paste the feed address into an RSS news reader like Outlook (see the list of compatible RSS Readers below), or use a browser which supports RSS feeds, such asĀ Firefox, Internet Explorer, or Safari for Mac OS X.

Live Bookmarks
The Firefox browser supports Live Bookmarks, a system that detects RSS feeds and allows users to subscribe. Look for this icon in the bottom right corner of your browser, and click on it to subscribe. Feeds will appear in your Bookmarks list.
Outlook also supports RSS. Simply copy the RSS link into the RSS configuration in Outlook. Every time you send and receive, Outlook will check your RSS feeds for updated pages. It's that easy.
