Information for Communities of Faith currently preparing for or searching for a new pastoral relationship

Since 2014, Toronto Conference has used an online search tool to help ministers seeking positions and Communities of Faith searching for ministers to enter into new pastoral relationships. This online tool has mainly been used to fill vacancies to call a minister, but also on some occasions for appointments that are longer than a year.

As we transition to the new Regions, the online search tool of Toronto Conference will be phased out and replaced by a new national Pastoral Relations Hub on January 1, 2019. There will be opportunities this fall to learn about the new national Hub and prepare to use it for after January 1, and you will be informed about those opportunities in the near future.

Please note the following dates that could affect your Community of Faith:

October 1, 2018:  last day a Community of Faith can post their vacancy information on the Toronto Conference online search tool.

December 1, 2018:  last day a ministry personnel can post their Skills Gifts and Passions profile on the Toronto Conference online search tool.

December 18, 2018:  Closing day for the Toronto Conference online search tool.

What happens for Communities of Faith who are preparing for a search but will not have their information ready by October 1? You will need to wait until the new national Hub is ready on January 1, 2019 to post your search information.

If you are seeking to fill a short term appointment during the last three months of 2018, please be in touch with the contact people below who will inform you of the process and deadlines for submitting your paperwork to presbytery.

Toronto Conference staff are committed to helping your Community of Faith through this time of transition. If you have any concerns, please contact your staff person at 416-241-2677 or 1 800-446-4729
