Youth at Conference 2018 Behavioural Covenant
As a participant in the Toronto Conference 43rd Annual General Meeting Youth at Conference Program, I will participate in following the standards described here and the standards that will be collectively created when the Youth at Conference 2018 youth gathers.
Community in Action
When a group names and agrees to its shared responsibilities, it takes ownership and pride in creating a responsible and caring event by setting standards that are agreeable to all.
Living in Solidarity & Building Healthy Connections
Living in solidarity means that we will recognize our responsibility for helping to build a strong community .
Certain behaviours contribute to the health of a community, while others can be unsafe and can create unhealthy tensions and breakdown in community.
As a participant of Youth at Conference 2018, I will celebrate the incredible diversity of the participants, and strive to not discriminate against individuals on the basis of race, culture, colour, sexual orientation, gender identity,
abilities, age, class and theological beliefs. I will work towards making Youth at Conference 2018 free of discrimination and exclusion.
We are not alone. Thanks be to God.
I commit to upholding these standards for the duration of the Youth at Conference 2018 program, including travel to and from its location. I understand that should I fail to adhere to these standards I may be removed from participation in the group and/or required to return home at my own/family's expense.
