Developing Small Group Ministry:  A day filled with experiential learning and practical ideas for creating a sustainable and significant ministry of engaging in circle conversations/small groups that are responsive to the community within and beyond the congregation.

Developing Community Partners: Come develop your skills to establish community partners or clusters with other United Churches through the use of Appreciative Inquiry, Asset Mapping, Art of Hosting practices and strategies for identifying and inviting partners into conversation.

Being Church in Times of Cultural Shifts: a day away for lay people – We are in the midst of huge cultural, economic and religious shifts.  We’ll look at some of the barriers but mostly work together to imagine concrete ways to address these challenges.

Getting to Know You Celebrations: In October and November, eight Getting to Know You Celebrations are being planned.  An hour and a half to mix and mingle and get to know others from Communities of Faith near you.  Watch for dates or choose to host.  Menu is simple with a theme of water, so sparkling water, watermelon, etc.  Contact Karen Hilfman Millson at KHilfman@united-church.ca 

Faith Community Innovations: You are invited to join a nine-month process to revitalize your mission and ministry beginning with an event October 28 – 30, where two leaders from each congregation (or cluster) are trained in the practices that the program employs.
